Audiences accepted "The Proposal" this weekend, shaking "The Hangover" off its top spot. The romantic comedy bowed with $34.1 million, making it the largest opening of Sandra Bullock's career, and giving Ryan Reynolds a little more box-office credibility to bargain with.
