David Beckham named his son after Tom Cruise's name

David Beckham's wife Victoria Beckham and Tom Cruise's wife Katie Holmes have a very tight friendship. It has now even been revealed that the couple David and Victoria Beckham actually took their son's middle name "Cruise" from Tom, is not it funny!!

In David Beckham'slatest book "The Beckham experiment" are David and Victoria trying to explain their special relation to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.Writer Grant Wahl claims Cruise has influenced "every major decision" Beckham has made since the two met in 2003.

David told writer Grant Wahl for his book ‘The Beckham Experiment’, “I must admit, when Victoria and I met Tom, I remember turning around to Victoria and saying, ‘Cruise is a great name, but we could spell it different.’ And also, living in Spain, Cruz is spelled the way it is in Spanish. So that’s why we got it.”

He also stated that while Tom and Katie are Scientologists, he and Victoria prefer to practice their own beliefs.

“It’s something I respect, because Tom’s explained to me and Victoria what it’s all about. But he’s never turned around and said, ‘That is what you should be doing,’ because he would never do that. He and Katie have their beliefs … but me and Victoria have also got our own.”
